Church in 2020! - Weekly Update
Wow! It is hard to believe that we are now in July, over half way through this year. None of us were expecting all the challenges and changes that have happened in the last 4 months.
I am so encouraged by how many in our church have stayed strong in their relationship with Jesus and some have grown much stronger in their faith. It has also been inspiring to see how various individuals and families have reached out to their neighbours and friends with love and acts of kindness.
This Sunday at 9.00 am in our Online Church service, I am starting a series on 'What Does the Church look like in 2020'. It is time to refocus on the key aspects of the Church being the Body of Christ in our community. Jesus commanded us to make disciples, not just to have church services. Tune in to see how Jesus is building the church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
Thank you for your ongoing generosity and giving. Last month over $7,500 - was given to the Home for the Harvest project, and now we have over $417,000- towards this exciting vision. Our goal is to raise at least 1 million dollars before we begin building sometime next year.
As the Covid-19 restrictions are being slowly eased, we are looking carefully at when we can recommence Sunday services. There are still a lot of processes and conditions to work through, so please keep praying for wisdom and favour.
Love and Blessings,
Ps Ross and Mary-Lyn Davie
